Ben Sheppee (b.1978, Bristol, UK) is a graphic fine artist based in London. His work is an inquiry into communication, where he deconstructs the elements of languages, forces errors, and explores the aesthetics that live there in an attempt to find hidden meanings and new interpretations. His compositions embody his internal battle with expression, where visual works attempt to overcome the limitations of written language which can become misconstrued, mis-interpreted and often fail to convey its true meaning.
His work has appeared at art institutions, including Tate Britain, Serpentine and The National Portrait Gallery. Sheppee has worked as an art director for music industry icons such as Dua Lipa, JayZ and Ellie Goulding, developing stage designs and visual contents for large shows. His key passion however remains the feedback and dialogue with the viewer that is realized through exhibiting his work as a graphic fine artist in creative spaces.
