I am by definition an abstract artist who mainly specialises in painting. I use acrylic paint and mixed media to create my artworks, typically on large abandoned photographs, paper or canvas. The general theme behind my work is rooted in environmental issues and explores the contrasts between a natural existence and a synthetic environment that many of us find ourselves living in.

Stevens works with experimental film and video art to discuss the absurd and the vulnerability of the body. Using low-tech filming techniques to imitate late 20th-century horror, the artist plays with black comedy to accentuate the body's corporeal reality and society's denial of this truth. They are based in Manchester, UK and studied BA Fine Art at the University for the Creative Arts 2019-21

As a sculptor/installation artist, I weld, weave, wrap or ravel steel wire into most of my work. Routes, boundaries and voids created help me understand connections and liminality. The wire is manipulated into weightless ethereal structures, barely visible yet imposing. With the involvement of my body and the inclusion of light, space, movement and sound, uncanny immersive environments emerge.

I am an artist working with painting and photography. My focus is to explore patterns and shapes in the natural world which emerge through movement, repetition, and chance. A starting point might be movement of leaves in the wind, chance outlines of branches, fleeting shadows, or patterns in the light. We respond to these phenomena in an emotional way, and this is what I am really exploring.

Living in the north west of Cumbria, England, I am constantly inspired by the ever-changing landscape. Having moved to the region in 2018, I have continued to develop my creative practice over the past few years. My work reflects the beauty and sometimes ethereal qualities of the landscape I encounter every day and I aim to paint in a way that adds a feeling of nostalgia in the viewer.
