    I am a printmaker based in Edinburgh Scotland. I travel around the country in my campervan painting plein aire watercolour sketches of the landscape. Back in Edinburgh I convert these sketches into collagraphs and print them either at Edinburgh Printmakers or at home. I am trying to cover the whole of Scotland. I also engage in protest art around refugee, BAME issues and others.

    Hajab zainab, a visual artist currently living in the UK. She did her graduation from the University of Huddersfield school of arts. She depicts different compositions of figure and drapery in various mediums of art such as oil painting, installation and conceptual miniature painting.     I am a magnanimous despot, a magpie, a collector of images, talk too much, questionable sanity, semi-retired educator and artist. I never fitted into any sort of academic or media box and use which ever media conveys my intentions best. My current images are all related to everyday themes - shopping, walking in the High Peak, trying to be sustainable, exploring ideas making them visually concrete

    This piece is called 'Love is Blue ' it's inspired by the story of Swan Lake. It explores the transformative and hopeless feelings of lost love which can lead to self destruction.

    I have returned to working as an artist after a long career as a Mental Health Nurse and have rediscovered the joy that creating art can bring. I work primarily with printmaking, working from a group studio in the Rossendale Valley in Lancashire. My surroundings, amongst the valleys on the edges of the Pennines, inspire my use of foraged, natural materials in my work.
