David Faithfull United Kingdom
David Faithfull Visual Artist/Curator/Printmaker/Artist’s Book Maker David Faithfull is a visual artist with studio bases on the Isle of Mull off the west coast of Scotland and in Dalkeith south of Edinburgh.
David Faithfull studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, before living in Copenhagen for 8 years. He currently lecturers at Edinburgh College of Art.
His practice involves a broad range of processes, from installation and site interventions, to Artists Books, multiples and murals. Current investigations include alternative printmaking processes and materials, palindromic landscapes, environmental issues, alchemy and astronomy. He exhibits internationally and has work in collections including Tate Britain, the V&A and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art . He was a board member of several prominent Scottish Arts organistions, including Edinburgh Printmakers, ASCUS (Science & Art) and the Society of Scottish Artists.
