Sally Gorham North Yorkshire, United Kingdom
  Back to profiles

Sally is an artist and curator. She studied as a mature student at Central Saint Martins, graduating in 2017. Her work has been shown in Canada, China, London and other parts of the UK. Sally has curated a number of shows of work by emerging artists in Scarborough and London. In 2021 Sally moved back to Scarborough and is now Chair of Scarborough Studios/Old Parcels Office Artspace.

Sally Gorham’s paintings and installations take on a structured, orderly appearance. The hard-edged, concrete nature of the work borrows from the geometric visual vocabulary of constructivism and geometric abstraction. Her playfully and attention-grabbing use of colour gives her work immediate impact, transforming the space it occupies.
