The hidden beauty that lies in the discarded…

Jo Millak is a self-taught sculptor, who’s art reflects his obsession with wildlife and invites viewers to consider the interconnectedness of all living beings, whilst at the same time exploring the existential tension he perceives between humans and animals. He does this through the use of a symbolism formulated in childhood and by utilising recycled materials and found objects, demonstrating the hidden beauty that lies in the discarded.

Based in Longford, he is heavily inspired by Gloucestershire’s history and native fauna and regularly exhibits around the Cotswolds.
