I make printed and handmade artist books. My work moves between long-term research and wandering, using the book as a way to think about place, memory, and experience.
I create printed and handmade artist books that respond to place, memory, and lived experience. Some of my work focuses on the lasting impacts of genocide and conflict, drawing on long-term field research to explore how war continues to shape communities long after it ends. In these projects, the book becomes a space for remembrance, reflection, and conversation. Alongside this, I also make books based on my frequent travels and wanderings. These works are more intuitive and light-hearted, shaped by chance encounters, observations, and whatever captures my attention in a place. Across both strands of my practice, materiality is central. I use different papers, bindings, and structures as part of the narrative, and the tactile experience of holding, unfolding, and turning pages creates intimacy and invites slow, thoughtful engagement.
