Socially engaged artist working with refugees in Calais and Dunkirk and fostering asylum seeking children in UK

Predominantly working in painting with ink and bleach or oil paints , but also in collaborative projects with refugees and asylum seekers. For the last 15 years, Alison has been working with local communities and with asylum seekers and refugees. With a change in direction of medium that Alison works in, she started doing paintings of people that she met in the Calais Jungle when she worked as a volunteer for several years and at home where she works with an asylum seekers support group. Alison has been fostering UASCs for eight years and currently has a young man from South Sudan in her care.
