Lola Awada London, United Kingdom
I am a multi-disciplinary artist who like to mix media to create what I feel to be the ideal result for any given artwork or project. I love to and am always looking to experiment with new media and techniques and to learn new disciplines.
My work tends to straddle humanity, spirituality, magic, fantasy and "hard realities", always seeking to create a visually appealing image out of even the most tragic subjects or events. My aim is for viewers to feel a rush of positive energy when looking at the images I create, to imbue them with a healing sensation, to ignite or revive their sense of wonder, and hope. I do not seek to shock. I seek to soothe.
Even when working on several projects simultaneously, there is almost always a "meeting point" between the various projects I am working on, as if each was somehow an essential part of the other and as if these various projects were different parts of a same "whole".
My work encompasses but is not limited to photography, drawing, illustration, painting, model-making and sculpture, more often than not mixing some or all of these to create a final artwork.
