I'm a documentary photographer based in Somerset with a deep interest in people, place and the passing of time. My work often explores themes of belonging, identity and tradition, with a particular focus on British folk culture and the rhythm of the ritual year. I'm drawn to stories that sit outside the mainstream—those rooted in the land, in community, in lived experience.
Using natural light and a quiet, observational approach, I aim to create portraits and documentary images that feel intimate, warm and honest. I rarely direct or pose, preferring to witness what’s already unfolding and respond instinctively. Whether I’m photographing a solstice celebration at Stonehenge or a quiet moment of connection at home, I’m always looking for a sense of stillness, sincerity and atmosphere.
I often work with a mix of digital and film, and I love combining portraits with still life and wider context shots to tell fuller stories. For me, photography is a way of paying attention—of honouring people, moments and the changing seasons. It's also my way of making sense of the world and holding onto the beauty within it.
