I am an artist working mainly in intaglio printmaking, but also life drawing and painting. I develop my life drawings into collagraph prints often aiming for a sense of movement by deconstructing the printing plates. I have exhibited my work mainly in Wakefield and Leeds, and have been shortlisted for prizes and won prizes which have lead to wider exhibition.

Drawing from life is at the heart of my practice, I develop collagraph, intaglio prints from my drawings using heavy tonal contrast and textures. My recent MA took me to a deeper practical experimentation with deconstructing the print process and representing the figure and movement. More recently I have been developing some landscape/landmark prints as a progression from a prizewinning print. I have also done some commissions which I enjoy as I am happy to explore how my process can be adapted to wider subject matter. I like to take part in varied opportunities to exhibit, from open exhibitions to the local bi-monthly Artwalk, and open studios to print fairs. I am a print member of The Art House in Wakefield which gives me access to print making on a larger scale, though I have my own small presses.
