    My name is Emma, and I'm an illustrator, maker and workshop facilitator based in Leeds, UK. I love to use art to expand people’s knowledge, awareness and curiosity (including my own!).     I run a multidisciplinary practice working in textiles, drawing and painting. My artist lead work is inspired by natural form; intuitively driven and grown over long hours in the studio, it aims to capture the sensuality, tenacity and evolution of natural plant forms. Additionally, I can turn my hand to any theme or pallet and create unique work on a commission basis. I enjoy the challenge.

    I am an artist and material culture researcher who uses practice-based research to explored the relationships between bodily experience, memory and artefacts, both in museums and archives, and in everyday life. Using film, photography performance work and writing I address the ways that objects can become records of lived experience and how the traces of these experiences can be read.

    With a background in Mental Health and Education I am only now able to concentrate full time on my artistic practice, that was once just a pastime to aide relaxation.     Based in Keighley, West Yorkshire, I am a multiskilled Artist, Technician and Maker. My practice primarily works within the medium of sculpture, painting and drawing. With a keen focus on creating narratives, I use abstract forms and colourful environments to help visualise what it might look like to observe worlds based on micro and macrocosmic aesthetics.

    I am an artist working mainly in intaglio printmaking, but also life drawing and painting. I develop my life drawings into collagraph prints often aiming for a sense of movement by deconstructing the printing plates. I have exhibited my work mainly in Wakefield and Leeds, and have been shortlisted for prizes and won prizes which have lead to wider exhibition.
