I worked in Engineering, but I always created Art in many forms. I started Ceramics a few years ago and have exhibited and sold around the country. I am interested in construction, deconstruction and re- construction. I also endeavour to do things that are unique to me. I have not studied past Masters or been influenced by others. Basically, I do not know how to do it wrong.
I like to let my imagination drift, ask "Could it be done this way?"..."What if I?...."
I lie half awake and let my mind wander and things just pop out. Sometimes I will doodle and let forms coalesce on the paper.
The shapes I come up with can be very complex to achieve in clay and difficult to fire, but I always get there in the end.
I don't do round pots.....
