I resumed making sculpture in 2014 and have since shown sculpture, audio visual pieces and drawing. I am interested in the experiences of ‘older, new artists’ returning or starting, to make art that takes into account contemporary practices. I make constructions that are material and tangible and whose component forms often have a direct relation to the features of the gallery or site.

I describe myself as a sculptor because whatever medium or process I choose to work through, I have in mind the distribution and dispersal of shapes and forms in space as the ruling material theme. In general, I seem to travel back and forth between work that can be seen and thought about within a framework of the 'autonomous object' tradition, and work that is more open and dispersed, inviting participation and multiple relationships with the viewer /participant. This range is reflected I feel in my choices of media and materials as described on my website.
