Multidisciplinary artist working across painting, photography, and mixed media. My practice is rooted in texture and sensory experience, inviting viewers beyond observation into touch and emotional connection. Inspired by nature’s rhythms and earth forms, I create tactile works that hold memory, atmosphere, and quiet transformation.

Art has been a constant force in my life, shaping how I see the world and how I express my inner landscape.

Originally from Latvia and now based in the UK, my practice bridges painting, photography, and mixed media, with a particular emphasis on texture and the tactile experience of art.

From my earliest studies in photography to completing a Foundation Degree in Contemporary Arts Practice, I have continually explored ways of engaging not only the eye but also the hand and imagination of the viewer. I am fascinated by the physical presence of materials — the feel of layered paint, the weight of a brushstroke, the way surface textures invite touch.

My work challenges the traditional “do not touch” barrier in galleries and museums, inviting audiences to connect with art on a more intimate, sensory level.

The act of creating textures is, for me, a form of dialogue — invisible threads linking the artwork and the observer. Each piece becomes more than an image: it becomes an experience. By encouraging touch, I aim to transform how art is perceived, moving beyond sight to awaken memory, curiosity, and a deeper emotional response.

Nature and earth forms are also central to my artistic vision. Living by the sea in Latvia has left a lasting imprint on me, inspiring organic shapes, layers, and rhythms that appear in my paintings.

The land and water are ever-present in my textures, grounding my practice in the natural world.
