  Back to profiles

Based in North Yorkshire, I am a fine artist creating expressive landscapes and botanical art. With a background in graphic design and a degree from Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts (Vietnam), my current practice utilizes soft pastels and mixed media to capture the atmospheric light of the British countryside.

My practice explores the dramatic interplay of light, texture, and atmosphere within the natural world, focusing on landscapes, coastal scenes, and botanical subjects...

Depending on the piece, I work directly with dry soft pastels or develop the composition through a mixed media approach. My style is deeply painterly, bold, and intuitive. Rather than focusing on meticulous details, I prefer using deliberate strokes and distinct blocks of color to keep the artwork open, atmospheric, and alive.
