Rouaida creates handmade necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings that blend precious metals and gemstones into unique contemporary designs. Her work is influenced by the duality of modern city life and frequent escapes into the raw and rugged beauty of the Yorkshire countryside that she calls home.
Rouaida's jewellery is born from a love of art, travel and nature. Passionate about creating artisanal jewellery, she aims to deliver impeccable style and an affordable alternative to mass produced jewellery that manages to look the same from one shop window to the next.
Located within a converted mill on the banks of the Ryburn river in West Yorkshire, Rouaida draws inspiration from the incomparable beauty of the rugged English countryside, vibrant city nightlife and ancient cultures of the Mediterranean. Her love and respect for the natural world means she only use sterling silver, 18ct gold, gemstones and pearls from reputable sources that won’t harm the earth or its people.
Rouaida's unique style resulted in commissions by the British Museum and invitations to display her jewellery in exhibitions, museums and galleries across the UK and abroad. She received an Award for Excellence in Jewellery from the National Association of Jewellers, who commended her ‘stunning contemporary style’ as well as the success of her web site at www.rouaida.com
