Scarlett is a watercolourist and mixed media artist. Born in North Yorkshire (1990) she continues to be inspired by the landscapes around her in the Yorkshire Dales, painting the rolling hills and moors, burnt heathers, moss covered drystone walls and ancient neolithic sites that are littered throughout the landscape.

I paint rocks and walls and mosses and fields and trees and hills, anything with an essence, anything that shows vitality or story or quiet power and symbolism. My creative philosophy is born from Taoism, Buddhism, and Yoga, but ultimately I wish to capture the beauty of the natural world around me. The way i do that is with watercolour, which is a medium that has a spirit of its own. You cannot control it, you must simply join the dance.
