An experimental printmaker using etching and other print making techniques. The work is concerned with the temporal transformation of discarded and forgotten objects into new printed images which emulate the landscape, becoming imaginary map like places. A new 2 or 3 dimensional narrative emerges as they form their new printed landscape

I am an experimental printmaker from Halifax, using a variety of printmaking techniques including etching on aluminum and steel. This is incorporated with other printmaking techniques such as collagraphs, monoprint and photo lithography. Increasingly, I print on hand made paper and present work in both two and three dimensions.

Found objects and artefacts direct my work and by using a range of materials and printmaking techniques, I adapt my processes to whatever the materials suggest. Many of my works are printed directly from or include elements of the objects themselves. The erosion and reshaping caused by the effects of the environment and the actions of people tell a story about human intervention. The prints seek to explore how a transformation of these damaged and discarded objects allows them to create new narratives and meanings and in turn reflect something of the world around them. I trained at Leeds College of Art and have exhibited in galleries across the north, London and internationally. I am part of Inkers, a Yorkshire Printmaking Group who exhibit across the north and Grounded Printmakers. I run a range of creative printmaking workshops on behalf of Everybody Arts, Halifax, where I also have a studio.
