Inspired by landscapes, animals and the beauty of the natural world, I paint primarily in oils to explore rich colour, texture and expressive mark-making. My work seeks to capture the character, atmosphere and beauty of the living world around us.

I have always been fascinated by animals—their character, presence and individuality—and I love the challenge of capturing these qualities on canvas. My particular passion is for African wildlife, inspired by the time I spent living and working there. Being surrounded by its extraordinary landscapes and animals left a lasting impression on me and continues to influence my work. Through painting, I aim to convey not only the beauty of each animal, but also something of its spirit, strength and personality, inviting the viewer to pause and connect with the natural world. My primary medium is oil, as I love exploring its rich texture and the depth it allows me to create through layering and expressive brushwork.
