    I’m Jane and I’m a fine silver contemporary jewellery maker. I came to art as an outlet whilst being a full time carer though I’ve always loved the arts especially galleries. I’m due to commence an arts degree in June 2026 to deepen my love of drawing.

    Samiya Younis, a British-born Pakistani artist based in London, draws inspiration from her South Asian heritage. Her multidisciplinary practice, spanning sculpture, installation, painting, and performance, explores identity, hybridity, memory, belonging, and fragility through materiality, storytelling, and acts of quiet resistance that challenge dominant narratives.

    I work with site-responsive installation, photography and video using light, space and wind and am inspired by the ordinary, the everyday and the need to find meaning in our lives.     I am a teacher of Geography and until a few years ago I never thought I had a creative bone in my body. I then discovered wood turning and the joy of shaping wood as if it was clay. I have rapidly moved away from traditional wood turning and like to use a variety of non-traditional wood and different materials that enhance the wood. I like form and shape inspired by nature.
