Report this?Adele studied for her B. A. (Hons) Degree in Textile Art at Winchester School of Art. After a short spell working for an interior magazine in London she set out to see the world. Years later, settling down in the historic city of York, she completed a diploma in Children's book illustration gaining a distinction. It was after this that she turned to using her camera, scanner and photoshop.

I create abstract paintings, mixed-media work and installations inspired by my personal experiences of sound-colour synaesthesia – when I listen to music, each note of the musical scale is perceived as a specific colour. I completed my MA in Fine Art (Distinction) in December 2019. In my spare time I am a musician, playing violin and viola.

A brain injury in 2009 caused years of daily chronic pain, which photography has been a lifesaving therapy for. I got into art literally by accident, after a work place accident and recovering at home ,I took up pyrography to take my mind off the recovery. Since then and work permitting I do my art when I can. Only having weekends off from the road I love to dive into a piece for hours on end, the smell and sound is fantastic.
