    I’m Elizabeth Benson, a UK-based artist working between textile and sculpture. I explore how cloth, dye and fibre respond to contact, pressure and time, using natural dyes, tannins and iron to create layered works where colour and form emerge through interaction rather than control.

    Jelena Havelka is an abstract painter and printmaker based in Leeds. She holds a PhD in Psychology, and her art education comes from residencies and workshops with artists and printmakers in Yorkshire.     I am a self-taught painter based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, my practice combines deconstructed figuration and gestural abstraction to explore contemporary socio-political themes, historical painting, and broader theoretical and philosophical questions concerning perception, representation, and social experience.

    Graduate from the Royal college of art. 7 years ago I moved from my birth place of south east London to East Sussex which has impacted my art considerably. Though from childhood I always felt happier in the countryside, I felt a juxtaposition between living in a city and infrequently visiting the countryside now I am here feeling more inspired by my surroundings.
