  Back to profiles

Teresa is a British/Maltese mixed media abstract artist who after returning to art as a mature student, completed an MA in Art and Science at Central Saint Martins in 2020. Her practice is concerned with the formation and recollection of memory and she explores the nature of memory and its vulnerabilities in the context of personal histories, family, and relationships.

My practice looks at the formation and recollection of memory. By examining the relationship between perception, awareness and memory, I try to understand which details of our experiences are the most significant and likely to be committed to memory. I’m interested in signifiers; colours and objects that represent emotions and feelings, and how we use them as a simplification of our emotions and memories.
