    I’m currently exploring the connection between the sun, Antarctica, and human activity over the austral summer season. I describe myself as an environmental artist. I’m interested in the interrelationships between people, places, culture and nature. In 2017, I moved from the UK to New Zealand to study for a PhD exploring 'the value of artists working in Antarctica'.

    I am a multimedia 3D artist, specialising in ceramics. My work is responsive – responding to ideas, events or collections of objects. My work develops from this initial response, considering how this can be represented in a contemporary way within the context of my material practice.     I am an artist whose work always starts with a piece of cloth. I make art textiles that are reductive, quiet, simple and contemplative. This has meant restricting my tools, my media, my palette and my process – simplify, simplify, simplify. I use raw earth pigments for my landscape-inspired work and antique linen or hemp for my intensively hand stitched work.

    Sasinun Kladpetch is a San Francisco based multimedia artist. I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. I received her Bachelor’s degree in Decorative Art at Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. In 2016, she graduated with a Master’s degree from San Francisco Art Institute, California. My work has been collected and exhibited at DZINE Gallery, San Francisco and several galleries in the US.
