    I have a passion for beautiful flowers that are grown in my street garden in Kirkstall, I carefully select, press and dry these flowers; then make what has been described as “breathtaking”pieces of art - that are best appreciated when seen in person, framed or unframed, produced into abstract Botanical art and Boho pieces at affordable prices.

    My paintings develop from sketches and photographs taken on location, blending imagination and inspiration from architecture, archaeology, and man-made structures.     Ross’ practice is centred around nature in an urban environment, a sense of place, utilising and repurposing found and recycled materials are key to both sustainability & minimising my artistic footprint. Examining the relationship with nature that surrounds us; time, identity, consumption and history informs these concerns, inviting us to view things in a different way.

    During total isolation, in lockdown, I painted over a 164 artworks up to date. I also took up meditation which allowed my imagination to flow again. It was cathartic and eased the trauma from what was happening in the outside world. Life is returning back to what was before, but with a greater sense of appreciating family and friends, united.
