    I am a graduate professional artist with BA Fine Art First Class Honours 2006. I'm inspired by the landscape and create work that abstracts what I see and experience. Often working en plein air I create dynamic & colourful compositions. I'm inspired by abstract expressionism with rapid expressive mark making & striking colours of Fauvism.     Embroiderer and wordsmith, Catherine Hill is a multi-award-winning contemporary textile artist based in the UK. Her artistic vision is drawn from her childhood memories growing up in the English county of Lancashire in the 1970’s.     The canvas is a place of experimentation and learning, light is centeral to all my Painting. I like breaking down information to its structure, I hope to express feelings or memories but I have no pre-determined outcome in mind. I let the painting unfold using Acrylic paint, sand and gold foil, Im aiming to capture light and space in its physical sense.
