We are looking for new emerging artists/groups to partake in an online residency. Take over our Instagram account for 7 days, showcasing past, present or future works, along with an insight to yourself (the artist(s)).

Art4u is an artist led organisation based in Colchester, Essex. We aim to support local artists by providing a platform for them to share their work, be it through our social media pages or exhibitions. We hope that by supporting local artists, as well as inviting nationwide based artists to work with us, we will contribute to Colchester’s cultural reputation.

Our aims for the future

 Our ambition is to provide Colchester with an ‘Art4u Project Space'. The space will contribute to the development and showcasing of local emerging artists, by running residencies and exhibitions in its very own gallery. The space would ideally host a coffee shop which would help to fund the projects. The coffee shop would also act as a hub for group critiques, artist run workshops and talks.

We are looking for new emerging artists/groups to take over our Instagram account for 7 days, this is a chance to introduce yourself to new audiences and gives you the opportunity to build a stronger social networking profile. We are interested in seeing your past, current or future practises, alongside an informal insight to your life/working day.
