We are delighted to invite submissions for Beyond Horizons, a new outdoor sculpture exhibition set within the unique and atmospheric landscape of Stoberry Park Garden in Somerset, with breathtaking views overlooking the City of Wells, its cathedral, Glastonbury Tor and the Vale of Avalon. We are seeking high-quality contemporary sculpture and installation that responds thoughtfully to a garden setting, engaging with nature, space and light.

Beyond Horizons is a new curated outdoor sculpture exhibition taking place at Stoberry Park Garden, a private garden in Wells, Somerset, opening to the public for a limited season, September 5th to October 4th, the first of an annual event.

The exhibition aims to create a rich and memorable dialogue between contemporary sculpture and the natural environment.  The 5 1/2  acre  garden is planted sympathetically within its landscape, providing stunning combinations of of vistas accented with sculpture, wildlife ponds and water featues, and  offers a varied setting, including open lawns, artistic and colourful  planting and more intimate spaces, allowing for a diverse range of work in scale and approach.

We welcome submissions form both emerging and established artists working in sculpture and installation. We are particularly interested in work that: responds to a natural or garden environment; demonstrates strong visual presence and originality; engages with space, landscape, light or seasonal change; is suitable for outdoor display.   Work must be durable and appropriate for outdoor conditions, unless some pieces can be placed in a covered area,  Installation requirments to be discussed.

Work should be available for sale, or accept commissions.

Stoberry Park Garden provides a unique and characterful setting for sculpture, offering both openness and intimacy accross the landscape.  The exhibition is designed to encourage visitors to explore the relationship between art and nature in a relaxed and engaging way.

Future Vision: Beyond Horizons is intended to become an annual exhibition, building a reputation for quality, originality and strong sense of place.
