Call for entries for an International Photography Exhibition. This month long exhibition will be a photography exhibition with the theme of Blue. Free to submit, open to everyone.

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography's mission is to advance the arts, heritage and cultural sector through exhibitions of photographic works as a means for artistic, community and personal expression.

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is running a month-long exhibition in October called Blue. One of the three traditional Primary Colours (along with Red and Yellow) Blue is a colour that surrounds us in our day-to-day lives, the planet is even referred to as the "Blue Planet".

We are asking photographers to explore the colour Blue in their photography. From the sky and the oceans to clothes people wear and the buildings they live in or the artificial light that is used to light a scene, we want to see a variety of images that explores the colour Blue. This theme is pretty open and all genres of photography are welcome, all that is required is the colour Blue.

This will be the first in a series of exhibitions exploring primary colours through photography.

Blue is an open call for photographers to submit up to 8 images that meet the theme Blue.

Photographers who are selected will have their work displayed in a month-long exhibition in our gallery, with their work also appearing online in an online gallery on our website.

All participants that are selected to take part in the exhibition will be put forward for a chance to be named Photographer of the Month.

We want to see work from both emerging and established photographers. You do not need to be a professional photographer to participate as we believe that photography is for everyone.

How to participate:

Submissions are FREE.  If your work is selected there will be a participation fee of £48
This fee covers the cost of everything. We will print, install and un-install the work in our gallery space.
