Call for artists interested in showing their work with _VOID nomadic gallery. Artist-run initiative fosters sound, media, and technological art on the Scottish and International scene.

_VOID is a nomadic gallery from Glasgow, Scotland, UK. Our gallery doesn't have a permanent home. It moves around to different venues and cities to show people media art.

The main aim of our initiative is to promote the international practices of digital, media, technological and sound art to communities and mass audiences, as well as give a voice to both emerging and established artists. We are eager to build links between the Scottish and international media art communities, fostering local bonds and cross-border solidarity.

Previously, we have shown artists' works in cinemas, contemporary art centres and venues. In 2023, we settled down in Scotland and launched our on-site activity with the audio-visual immersive event 'The artificial we are embodied in' at the Dream Machine venue in Glasgow.

We are planning several events for the next 2024 season. That's why we want to know about you, artists!

If you are feeling close to our statement and would like to work with us, we'd love to see your work!

At the moment, we don't have specific event themes. We plan to look at your portfolios and try to make a concept of events in such a way that the works complement each other. We propose a way of remote cooperation in the formats of screening, live performances or listening sessions, getting over borders and limitations.

We are interested in your FINISHED works in the following areas:

1. Conceptual sound art, multi-channel, and spatial sound projects

2. Audiovisual live performances

3. Generative graphics and sound

4. Video art based on the use of 3D, generative, and AI technologies

5. Video-based media archaeological projects

The form only takes a couple of minutes of your time. We would like to see your portfolio and look forward to seeing your beautiful projects!

_VOID is a nomadic gallery based in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

It is run by artists  (Andrey Chugunov, Olesya Ilenok) for artists.
We are fostering sound, media and technological art.

The main aim of our initiative is to promote international media art to communities and mass audiences. We want to promote the international practices of digital, media, technology and sound art, as well as give a voice to both emerging and established artists, to build links between the Scottish and international scenes.

Our values are:
- Nomadism
Our gallery doesn't have a permanent home. It moves around to different venues and cities to show people media art.
- We bring media art closer to people
At our events, each work presented to the public is accompanied by a statement explaining the concept and technical realisation of the work.
- Redistributing opportunities and equipment.
We are in favour of sharing technical possibilities with those who want to experiment, as well as distributing opportunities among artists.
- No Open Calls
Our website will very soon be launching a permanent form for accepting finished media artwork. From these works, we will be able to compose events with intertwining narratives.
- We are in favour of conceptualized events
This means that we try to match artists' works with each other in such a way that they develop a specific topic and engage in a dialogue.

We are keen to forge new connections with art institutions, artists, audiences and places across borders.
