Stowmarket Arts CIC is pleased to announce that submissions are now open for The Design Room, a new initiative providing low-cost studio spaces and a High Street gallery in the heart of Old Fox Yard, Stowmarket.

This opportunity is aimed at supporting local and emerging artists, offering space to develop your practice, connect with fellow creatives, and showcase your work in a central, accessible location.

What’s on Offer:

• Three affordable studio spaces designed for painters, sculptors, photographers, illustrators, and all types of visual creatives. The studios offer a professional environment where you can work consistently and grow your creative practice. These spaces will be rent-free in exchange for a commitment to fully utilise the space, including the organisation of two events or workshops per month. Artists will be required to contribute to the costs of utilities.
• Access to a High Street gallery, providing local artists with the opportunity to publicly exhibit their work and reach new audiences. This central gallery space offers strong footfall and visibility in the local community.

Key Dates:

• Application Deadline: 1st June 2025
• Shortlisted Artists Notified: Mid-June 2025 (interviews will be conducted around this time)
• Selected Artists Announced: Shortly after interviews conclude
