Call Out for LGBTQ+: TV and film moments which have resonated with you
Deadline: 11/08/2025City: Manchester | Region: Greater Manchester | Country: United Kingdom | Sasha Napoli
Call out for LGBTQ+ stories/descriptions of TV and film moments which have resonated with you.
My name is Sasha Napoli and I am an artist based in Greater Manchester.
I am embarking on a new series of paintings which depict moments in TV and film that have resonated with LGBTQ+ individuals (e.g. for me it's the scene in John Tucker Must Die where Beth and Kate kiss in the Jeep).
My ambition is to respond to your descriptions through painting, creating a new body of work with the ultimate aim of curating an exhibition.
In addition to the paintings, I would also love to compile audio recordings of the descriptions submitted.
This could then accompany the viewer through an exhibition.
This work will be ongoing for a while, and there won't be immediate results, but if you are happy to be kept up to date and contacted by Sasha, please indicate this on your submission.
Thanks so much for your time in advance, and I'm so excited to see what's submitted!
If you want to check out my work before submitting, my Instagram is @sashanapoliart
Important:
This is not an open call for your artwork, but rather a request to help me paint my own by sharing your descriptions of moments in TV and film that have resonated with you.
