The Art House would like to commission an artist to design and produce a run of original screen printed or laser cut Christmas cards. We would like the design to make reference to the Old Drury lane Library that The Art House are currently converting into 34 artists’ studios and public spaces. The Christmas cards will be sent to contacts and supporters of The Art House.  

We will require:

The artist to design and make 200 screen printed or laser cut cards from their original design.

These could be made up of more than one design, however please take into consideration the specific time and resources provided.

We'd like the design to be seasonal but to feature no religious imagery.

An artist credit can feature on the reverse of the card.

The reverse of the card should include The Art House funders' logos. If screen printing the cards, the design should be applied at the same time as the front of the card. If laser cutting the design, application of the logos can be finalised once the selection has been made. The Art House will provide funders logos in the appropriate format.   

We will provide:

£150 artists' fee (this to be inclusive of all expenses)

Access to The Art House Print Studio or Laser Cutter for 1 full day in order to produce the cards. 

200 5 x 7inch blank recycled Kraft cards

Screen printing inks (if required) to produce 200 cards

Deadline for submissions: 17 November 2014

Deadline for final product to be delivered to The Art House: Monday 1 December, 2014

The selected artist will retain copyright but will be asked to grant The Art House full and exclusive use of the design for use on the Christmas Cards.
