Constellations of Becoming: Mapping Inner Futures
Dates:
Submission Deadline: 18 January 2026
Exhibition Dates: 1-28 February 2026
Exhibition Theme
As winter loosens its hold and the year begins to take shape, Constellations of Becoming: Mapping Inner Futures invites artists to reflect on the quiet transformations that guide us towards what we are yet to become.
February is a month suspended between introspection and anticipation — a moment where inner longings, uncertain pathways, and emerging hopes gather like constellations, forming new patterns of meaning.
This exhibition explores the ways in which imagined futures, emotional thresholds, and inner topographies influence contemporary experience.
Each artwork becomes a map: a visual meditation on desire, doubt, memory, imagination, and the subtle forces that shape identity over time.
Rather than fixed narratives, we seek pieces that acknowledge the fluidity of being — the shifting impulses, hidden connections, and speculative visions that compose the self.
CISTA ARTS invites submissions from artists working across all media, including painting, photography, collage, digital art, video, sound, sculpture, and interdisciplinary practices.
We welcome works that consider:
- inner cosmologies and personal myth-making
speculative futures and states of becoming
the interplay between uncertainty, transition, and self-formation
emotional or psychological geographies
fragmented identities and the search for coherence
gestures of hope, resilience, or reinvention
We encourage artists whose work embraces subtlety, complexity, and poetic inquiry — those who map not the world as it is, but the worlds that might be taking shape within and around us.
