About the Exhibition
The Bureau Centre for the Arts has a small gallery within the building, where we present a range of touring exhibitions, group shows, open calls and individual exhibitions by local and emerging artists.
This Craft Exhibition will celebrate a wide range of handmade work, from traditional crafts to contemporary and experimental practices. We welcome submissions from makers working across textiles, ceramics, jewellery, printmaking, woodwork, mixed media and other craft disciplines.
There will also be an opportunity for makers to book a market stall on Saturday 28th November, giving them the chance to sell their work directly to visitors and connect with potential customers.
Our aim is to create a welcoming, creative event that supports local makers, encourages new audiences to engage with craft and provides opportunities for artists and craftspeople to share their work.
Exhibition Submissions
All forms of craft and handmade work are welcome.
The submission deadline is Thursday 12th November 2026.
A submission fee of £10 per artwork applies.
Submission fees must be paid for work to be considered and are non-refundable if a piece is not selected.
We may not be able to display every submission, depending on the size and quantity of applications.
Artists will be notified of the outcome once submissions have been reviewed.
Delivery and collection arrangements for selected work will be confirmed with successful applicants.
Market Stall Opportunities
Makers who would like to sell their work are invited to express their interest in having a market stall as part of the event.
Stall spaces will provide an opportunity to display and sell handmade products directly to the public. Stall availability, fees, booking arrangements and market dates will be confirmed separately.
Please indicate your interest in a market stall when submitting your application.
Sales and Commission
The Bureau will take 40% commission on artwork sold through the gallery exhibition.
Market stall sales will be subject to separate arrangements, which will be confirmed with stallholders before the event.
