Cupola Contemporary Art is looking for an artist or artists to create a new mural.
Cupola Contemporary Art is looking for an artist or artists to create a new mural to replace our much loved piece by Rob Lee.
The wall began life in 2013 as a free space for graffiti artists to express themselves. In 2014 The talented Rob Lee painted his 'Four Jerseys' mural in commemoration of the Tour de France. This became a much loved piece. Three years on the mural is in need of repair and we feel it is time for a new artist to take over this mantel.
We are open in terms of style and content but please be aware the wall is opposite a school.
The wall is 24m long and 3.5m high on the left and 2.5m high on the right.
The gallery will work with the artist/artist’s to create a limited edition giclee print to commemorate the mural and will be used to help raise funds for the artist to pay for the commission. The gallery will provide white masonry paint to prepare the wall prior to painting.
When submitting please include examples of previous work and a rough idea, either as a drawing or sketch or in words, of your proposed mural.
