Elements 2027, International Photography Exhibition
Deadline: 18/09/2026City: Glasgow | Country: United Kingdom | The Glasgow Gallery of Photography
Call for entries for an International Photography Exhibition. This month-long exhibition will be a photography exhibition with the theme Elements. Free to submit and open to everyone.
The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is running an exhibition in January called Elements.
A new theme we wanted to explore is Elements, the literally building blocks to the world around us.
This theme is open for you to explore in how ever you interpret the notion of Elements.
This could be exploring one or more of the "Four Elements", Earth, Wind, Water and Fire.
You interpret the elements as the weather that we experience and how that impacts our lives.
Or you explore the elements as the building blocks of the universe, using the periodic table as a starting point to explore the theme.
How you interpret this theme is up to you, we are excited to showcase the results.
Elements is an open call for photographers to submit up to 8 images.
Photographers who are selected will have their work displayed in a month-long exhibition in our gallery, which receives, on average, over 500 visitors every month, and will also have their work appear online, via our social media (over 15K followers on Instagram) and in an online gallery on our website (approx. 75K visitors a year).
If selected, participants will have:
- Their work printed and displayed in the gallery
- Their work displayed in an online gallery on our website
- Their work be included in an exhibition catalogue
- A digital certificate of participation sent out before the start of the exhibition
- Their work will be photographed in situ once installed. These photos will be shared with participants directly via email and through our social media after the exhibition has started.
- Their work will be videoed. These videos will be share via the gallery’s social media pages.
- Have their work automatically put forward for a chance to be named Photographer of the Month.
Any work selected can be listed for sale during the exhibition. Please visit our website for more information.
You do not need to be a professional photographer to participate, as we believe that photography is for everyone and exhibiting your work is a great way of developing your practice and helping you towards the next stages of your learning or career goals.
