From 20 - 22 March 2026, the Landmark Arts Centre continues its 30th Anniversary Celebrations with an expansion of its biennial Contemporary Textiles Fair. ‘Material Encounters: Contemporary Textiles in Focus’ brings together a curated exhibition of large-scale textile works, selected panels from the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt, a full programme of workshops, talks, and demonstrations, and the return of our much-loved textiles fair.

The Festival offers an accessible and welcoming way to experience contemporary textile art in a vibrant and dynamic setting.

This application is for artists who wish to EXHIBIT IN OUR EXHIBITION.

The curated exhibition offers audiences a direct engagement with contemporary textile practice, highlighting the ways artists use material, scale, and technique to explore new ideas.

As part of this programme, selected panels from the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt will be presented. AIDS Quilt UK is a partnership of seven HIV support charities working together to conserve the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt, to make it available for public viewing, and to ensure it remains a living and lasting testimony of the individual lives lost to AIDS and the social history of HIV activism in the United Kingdom.

Building on the Landmark’s long-standing commitment to accessible arts provision, the Festival strengthens the region’s visual arts and contemporary craft ecology by supporting artists and widening public engagement.

It offers structured opportunities for skills development through workshops and talks, alongside high-quality cultural activity that is open to diverse audiences.

The Landmark Arts Centre offers artists a unique opportunity to exhibit within a stunning Grade II listed Victorian building, as a vibrant cultural hub that draws a wide and engaged audience.

With a diverse programme of visual arts fairs, curated exhibitions, and community events, the centre attracts collectors, art enthusiasts, and local visitors alike.

Exhibiting here places your work at the heart of a thriving, well-respected arts venue, supported by professional marketing and an enthusiastic, arts-focused audience.

Reflecting on previous years’ numbers, expect to see between 1000 – 2000 visitors over the course of the weekend.

There is no fee to exhibit.

Exhibitors will be included in our all encompassing marketing campaign, detailed in the FAQs.
