The Highrise Project are providing free creative 1:1 sessions for artists and photographers based in Leeds, UK. The sessions take place at Armley Community Hub and Library on Tuesdays between 10.30am - 3.30pm.

Mentoring is open to people at all stages of their visual arts journey, and includes art making tutorials, tips on curating exhibitions, running workshops, applying for funding, social media, websites, producing publications, working with researchers, becoming self employed, and lots more.

The Highrise Project is run by Louise Atkinson (PhD Fine Art) and Victoria Kortekaas (BA Visual Communications). Louise also has her own visual arts practice as well as running the online arts platform, CuratorSpace. Victoria specialises in photography and artist publications.

Mentoring is provided as part of our ongoing plans to develop a creative cohort in Armley, Leeds and we are keen to hear from people who are interested in being more involved in this, as well as those who just want to access support. Alongside the mentoring, we also provide access to free arts materials and space to try out new techniques.
