Calling all artists who were NOT selected for the Royal Academy Summer show.

Haus-a-rest are running a summer exhibition of any artist that has submitted for the RA summer show in the last five years and was NOT selected.

We celebrate you!

Each year since 1769, the RA has held an summer exhibition with over 16,000 submissions.

Every year the majority of submissions are rejected.

For our show, we would love to show case your submitted and rejected work.

Please state the year you submitted to the RA.

(NO COVID-RELATED WORK )

You will need to submit:

1) A good quality image of your work  - up to three works, one per form (please do not send us thumbnail images).

2) Three lines of text to explain your concept,  why you made the piece, and any obstacles you had to overcome and when you entered the RA show.

3) Your Instagram name so we can tag you.

4) To apply to the writer's open call enter via our writer's open call on CuratorSpace.

5) If you have an TikTok account and want to be one of our TikTok fetaured artist, then get in touch.

Your work will not be accepted if you do not provide the requested items. If accepted your work will be featured in the Zine, Instagram and FB for a least one month, and very likely for several. We do not guarantee to keep your work listed after the issue has ended.
