Inspired by our own Studio Manager taking up a residency in Japan this year, we are developing an exhibition to be held at the WYPW Gallery this summer around the theme of 'Japan'. We are looking for art work by established and emerging printmakers to form an exciting display in our gallery from 14th July - 1st September 2018.

The opening of our exhibition on 14th July at West Yorkshire Print Workshop coincides with Mirfield Arts Festival, and we are looking to exhibit work by printmakers who are Japanese, or whose work is inspired by Japan, or who work using traditional Japanese printmaking techniques.

The exhibition will form the centre piece of our summer programme, around which there will be schools', children's and family activities during July and August.

If you are interested in being considered for the show, then please complete the attached submission form. Deadline for submissions is Tuesday 6th March 2018 and there is no submission fee.

It is anticipated that selected artists’ work can be sent via post or be delivered to us in Mirfield at the end of June.  Unframed and 3D work will be accepted.  We hope to make a selection of artists by the end of March.
