Leeds Summer Group Show 2025 – Open Call for UK based artists

Established in 2015, the Leeds Summer Group Show is an annual exhibition celebrating visual arts talent from across the UK.

We’re delighted to return to Leeds Playhouse for this year’s edition. The exhibition will run from 3–23 July 2025 and will be accompanied by an online catalogue.

This year’s show will be an eclectic presentation of pre-existing, wall-based artworks. There is no theme, but all works must be suitable for hanging on the venue’s existing hanging system. Please refer to the FAQs for details.

Submission Guidelines:

  • You may submit up to 5 individual works. Diptychs, triptychs etc. can count as one submission if photographed and priced as a single piece.

  • All image files must be submitted as JPEGs, suitable for inclusion in the online catalogue. Please photograph your work against a plain wall and crop to minimise the background where possible.

  • We encourage artists to price their work. A 50% commission will be taken on any sales, so please factor this into your pricing.

  • Collectors will cover the cost of postage and packaging. We will handle all invoicing, payments, packaging and shipping. Artists whose work sells will be asked to invoice us when the exhibition ends, and will receive prompt payment.

By submitting, you are giving permission for your work to be used in promotional materials and on the website, should your work be selected.

Submission fee:

£12. This fee helps cover admin and exhibition costs.

If the fee is a barrier to applying, please get in touch.

Key Dates:

  • Deadline for submissions: Sunday 15 June at midnight (BST)

  • Notification of outcome: by midnight on 20 June (via CuratorSpace)
