Moral Fibre will be The House of Smalls first show in its Edinburgh gallery space, and nineteenth in the dollhouse space. Artists are invited to submit textile-based artwork responding to the title theme for either or both spaces. This show will run through the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CALL WAS PREVIOUSLY LISTED FOR THE CHIPPING CAMPDEN GALLERY EARLIER THIS YEAR. THE HOUSE OF SMALLS HAS NOW RELOCATED TO EDINBURGH. IF YOU SUBMITTED WORK TO THE ORIGINAL CALL, THERE IS NO NEED TO RESUBMIT THE SAME WORK AS SUBMISSIONS HAVE BEEN RETAINED.

ARTISTS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF SELECTION BY EMAIL SHORTLY AFTER DEADLINE.

ARTWORK MEASUREMENTS & SUBMISSION INFO

MAIN SPACE:

Wall artwork must not exceed 1 metre on its top edge (INCLUDING mount/frame if applicable). Please note that all work must be ready to hang.

3D artwork must have a maximum footprint of 30cm x 30cm for plinths. There is limited space in the window and for floor standing work - please contact me if your work is very big.

DOLLHOUSE:

Wall artwork must not exceed 13cm x 13cm x 1cm (INCLUDING mount/frame if applicable).

3D artwork should have a maximum footprint of 8cm x 8cm x 15cm(H).

COSTS IF SELECTED (please note that this show runs for +3 weeks):

£45 per selected artwork for the main space

£20 per selected artwork for the window-based dollhouse

As well as having a physical presence, all artwork will be featured on The House of Smalls social media and website.

No commission is applied to sales under £150; and a 10% commission applied on individual sales of £150 and above.

As with show fees, any money raised through commission goes towards gallery rent, overheads and upkeep.

IF ARTISTS ARE UNABLE TO COLLECT UNSOLD WORK AT THE END OF THE SHOW, THIS WILL BE RETURNED BY POST.

What are the exhibition opening hours?
Tues - Sat: Midday - 6 pm.
Sun: 1 pm - 6 pm.
Mon: Closed.
Do I need to be present?
No.
