We are looking for expressions of interest for the new MyMural pilot project in London. MyMural is a new pilot for a scheme to enable talented artists and envisioned residents to connect. For artists to create vibrant artworks on walls that are not normally available for art, and for residents to be involved in the curation of their own neighbourhoods by making walls available and working together to define each new opportunity for artists.

The exciting new MyMural project enables and encourages profficient artists and residents to connect - to work together, to create vibrant artworks on walls and colourful neighbourhoods. Pioneered and supported by the artist Stik, the Mayor of London's Office, Central Saint Martins, Artification and Wood Street Walls, the scheme seeks to establish London’s first ‘matchmaking’ scheme enabling residents and street artists to collaborate to create exciting new works in the everyday places that surround us.

It empowers residents with a direct and curatorial role to improve their buildings with art and in connecting with experienced and leading artists. In parralel, it brings new chances for established and skilled-emerging artists the chance to locate their works on walls where people are living. The scheme pilot runs late 2018 to late 2019 and will enable new works of art across multiple boroughs in the capital during 2018 and 2019.

This unique opportunity is situated in various sites around London including:

Camden - Ingestre Road Estate, close to Tufnell Park station. The brutalist space holds various concrete walls that could be the base for the new mural.

South Acton - Berrymede Infant School

South Acton - Frampton Court

South Acton - Buckland Walk

For selected artists, we hope to cover access and paint costs, and offer an artists fee of up to £1500. Fees will vary in depending on the size of the building/surface area and what is manageable for the scheme and in agreement with collaborating resident hosts.
