'Ceremonial' is a call for artworks responding to the concept of 'tradition' whether that be through definition or process. It will take place in January 2020 and is open to Edinburgh-based artists.

'Ceremonial' is an exhibition that will take place in January 2020 in Edinburgh. It is developed and curated by Isi Williams (Textile Artist) and Amber Brown (Photographer and Printmaker) who are both students at the Edinburgh College of Art.

The 'Ceremonial' open call is now open for entry! All Edinburgh-based artists are invited to submit artwork that responds to the concept of 'tradition', whether that be through definition or process. Please send us your proposal by 15.11.19 with images, dimensions and a description of the work. We will need all work to be delivered to the venue (to be released soon) early the week beginning 13.01.20 so please consider this date before entering, all we ask is a small donation towards funding the opening.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
Artists based in Edinburgh. We are particularly keen to see student work.
When is the deadline?

How many works can I submit?
You are welcome to submit up to two pieces.
When is the delivery date?
The work will need to be delivered to a venue within the College of Art, the week of 13.01.20.
When do I need to collect my work?
The work will need to be collected from a venue within the College of Art, within the following two weeks, date TBC.
How much does it cost?
All we ask is a small donation towards the opening evening!
Are there payments to artists?
Unfortunately not as we are a student-run initiative.
Is there a private view / opening?
Yes, there will be an opening and the date is TBC. Refreshments will be provided, which is where your kind small donation comes in!
