Soft Ground explores the fragile space between intention and transformation. In this exhibition, the ground beneath us is not fixed but ever-shifting - an unstable surface where ideas and actions are always incomplete. Here, making falters and meaning blurs, as the process of becoming takes precedence over resolution. Knowledge is an evolving force, not a fixed point, guiding and reshaping our experience. Through works that evoke both stillness and motion, Soft Ground invites us to reflect on creation, learning, impermanence, and the delicate balance between what has been and what is yet to come.

We are seeking innovative works that challenge and rethink traditional art practices across a wide range of disciplines, including, but not limited to: digital art, audiovisual media, creative technology, sculpture, sound art, installation, and photography.

There will be two shows across a six day period - you will be selected to participate in one show for three days  -

Each show will be curated around emerging themes and common narratives from submissions, ensuring your work contributes to meaningful conversations.

About Elephant Vision Lab (founded 2025) :

We are Elephant Vision Lab - We design and curate exhibitions, we make art installations, and install works in galleries.

A collaborative duo based in London, working across sound, sculpture and audio visual installation.

Our practice begins in conversation, as two artists, between place, material, and sound. Like the tide, our work is shaped by movement, erosion, memory, and return.

We create immersive installations using audio-visual media, ceramics, found objects, and sculptural interventions, often inspired by coastal environments.

About your curators and technical  team:

XinYue is a London-based artist working across sculpture, installation, and interdisciplinary materials. With a background in stage design, she treats space as “an intimate immensity,” where form, movement, and material converge. Her installations use sculpture, sound, and moving image to blur boundaries between perception and embodiment.

Alex is a London-based audiovisual artist working at the intersection of sound, narrative, and spatial design. His practice blends sound design with visual storytelling to explore how sensory environments shape emotion and memory.  His work includes immersive projects for museums and galleries across Europe.

We look forward to seeing your work!
