We are a group of second year fine art students, currently studying at Farnham UCA, and are in need of artists who would like their work to be exhibited at St Andrews Church outside. Our exhibition focuses on the celebration of life and the power of memories that keeps one living even in death. The work/ s would need to be church appropriate and preferably out of the mediums: auditory (read poems, sounds in a file etc), paintings (physical or image file), sculpture, and photographs.

Vivite in memorias; alive in our memories.

Writer George Eliot once said “our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them.”

We all must travel the path of life and journey through all it brings, but it is not one we walk alone and George Eliot's quote illustrates this entanglement of our existence, our experiences, our relationships and our memories beautifully. simply put, we are not gone we live in the moments we have shared, we are alive in our memories. life is comprised of experiences, shared, a togetherness, and then when we are no longer here and have travelled on to the journey through death, memories comprise us.

Vivite in memorias is a show about these connections, about the cycles of life and death and how memory is what keeps this cycle turning.

So come join us for an experience of reflection and contemplation, on morality, mortality and what it means to live and to die, of those we have lost and how they are not lost at all but alive in our memories.
