Description:
Art can be weird, strange and humorous.
Through this open call, we are looking for artists who push the boundaries of contemporary art with thought-provoking and bizarre works from different art styles.
Such artworks often inspire intrigue and curiosity.
They question the artist's intention and, at times, create a sense of unease.
We would like to delve into the world of the bizarre to enjoy the peculiarities and vast expressions of human imagination within visual art.
Mediums of original 2D and 3D artwork will be included, from paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, digital, videos and live performaces.
Please make sure that you have read through the submission's guidelines and rules properly before submitting your work.
Wall work must not exceed 60cm x 80cm (to include any mount/frame).
3D work should have a maximum footprint of 60cm x 60cm x 100cm.
Images
- You can submit up to 10 images, max 4MB each, for consideration.
- You can also send us links to your videos and performances.
Acceptance into the exhibition:
- Successful applicants will be notified by email.
- Artists are responsible for delivering or shipping their works to us by using reliable couriers to ensure timely delivery.
- Digital and videos will be displayed digitally on a 46" monitor in our art gallery at Fox Yard Studio. Files of selected works can be sent to us by email or by WeTransfer.
Costs:
- £35 per selected work.
- As well as having a physical presence, artworks will be featured online.
Who:
Artists at all levels. All media types are welcome, whether your craft is painting, photography, sculpture, poetry, live performances, films or any form you can think of!
Applicants are not required to be local. All works are to be presentable, framed (if applicable) and delivered under the responsibility of each selected artist by the given deadlines.

- The theme is open to interpretation.
- We offer you a platform to showcase, promote and sell your artworks via our art gallery and our Instagram via Art Magnitude.
- Submitting your work is free of charge,
- There is a 25% commission on Sales for physical works.
- If artists are not able to collect unsold works after the show has ended, we can return your works to you by courier or post.

Located in a historic building dating back to the 16th century, our gallery is committed to fostering a vibrant arts community.
We form part of the Design Quarter of Stowmarket, which includes the Modece Architects, the arts bar Pallet and the artist studios The Artspace.
These creative spaces are all integral components of the Old Fox Yard and the social life of Stowmarket.
