Open call for Art submissions to Issue 34 of Haus-a-rest Zine and Social media: Love, Loss and Indifference.

For the February issue we are tackling love, loss and indifference.

It's the month of hearts and flowers, or not. 

In the words of ABC "All I'm saying is it takes a lot of love you" (Look of Love, 1982) and we want to scratch the surface and look at the darker side of love.

There is an old saying, "Those  who love less hold the power". Is it about control, power or driven by lust?

We are excited to see how you tackle this subject and the more creative, inventive and down right jaw stoppingly amazing the better!

Your submission should be a be an exploration and response to this and be part of  your current practice and dialogue. (NO COVID-19 RELATED WORK)

You will need to submit:

1) A good quality image of your work (please do not send us thumbnail images).

2) Three lines of text to explain your concept,  why you made the piece and any obstacles you had to overcome.

3) Your Instagram name so we can tag you. 

4) Do you wish to join our mailing list Y/N?

Your work will not be accepted if you do not provide all of the four requested items. If accepted your work will be featured in the Zine, Instagram and FB for a least one month, and very likely for several. We do not guarantee to keep your work lister after the issue has ended.

Films are accepted as youtube or Vimeo - but please ensure the setting is set to public.

Up to three but one form per submission. We will only select one entry per artist if you are selected.

What are the selection criteria?
You must complete all four sections.
1) A good quality image of your work. (please check and do not send thumb nail images)
