The Gaia Trust is seeking Expressions of Interest from artists interested n exhibiting their sculpture in a stunning woodland location in North Cornwall, June / July 2023.

Environmental Charity The Gaia Trust at Treraven farm in Wadebridge North Cornwall is seeking expressions of interest from emerging and established, UK and international artists who have large pieces of public sculpture to be displayed around the beautiful 70-acre woodland at Treraven farm Estate. We are open to all ideas using various materials whether natural and complementary to the location or materials not usually found in woodland.

Installations can be fixed on the woodland floor, kinetic, or hanging between the trees.  We would be encouraged to see work that says something about the environment and the world we live in but it’s not essential. This will be the only exhibition of this type in Cornwall so it will be an ideal location to highlight your work.

The initial expression of interest is free. Shortlisted artists will pay £50 admin fee.

There will be a commission of 20% payable on any sculpture sold during the exhibition.

For this inaugural event, only 30 artists will be chosen to install and display their work in this stunning woodland setting, we are expecting competition for places to be high.

The Treraven farm site is open to public access so all sculptures/ installations must be insured and able to withstand public interaction and be substantial enough to last the duration of the exhibition from June 10th to July 17th 2023. Full terms and conditions will be sent to shortlisted artists.

Artists can transport their completed work to the site or build their artwork in situ.

Chosen artists can advertise their work to be displayed within he exhibition as freely as they wish. The Gaia Trust will be making a film of the work in the exhibition to be shown on their Website and on social media platforms

To Enter

Please send 5 images of your previous work in low resolution (small files only please, less than 1MB) a design of your proposal for the exhibition and a short explanation of your work and you and why you’d like to exhibit at Treraven Estate.
