No Jobs in the Arts is now taking entries for their sixth zine; they’re seeking visual artwork submissions from early-career artists and creatives currently living, working, or studying in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Leicester, Leicestershire, Derby, or Derbyshire.

To submit please use the Curator Space form to upload:

  • up to five digital images of your artwork suitable to be included in our zine, including any artwork titles;

  • a description of your practice, no more than 50 words;

  • basic contact information and any relevant links, e.g. Instagram/website details.

Opportunity: The six artists featured and interviewed for the zine will be paid a fee of £100. There is no submission fee for this opportunity. The artwork will be selected by a team of emerging curators. The publication will be distributed digitally and in print across the region and beyond. A package of follow-up opportunities is available to people who submit to this open call, including mentor sessions, residences, and paid interviews.

Who is eligible for this opportunity?
There’s no criteria to define ‘early-career’, so it’s up to you to decide if submitting will benefit you. The opportunity is unsuitable for any artist who does not have a link to the regions named above, or anyone under the age of sixteen at the time of submission. The way No Jobs in the Arts define Visual Art is pretty simple, ‘if we can print any piece of the artwork, we’ll think about including it in the zine’.
