Paid opportunity
Perivale Artists in Residence (PAiR) is delighted to invite proposals for a second run of the 3-month-long residency project supported by Ealing Council (London Borough of Ealing). Deadline 13th January 2023.
Perivale Artist in Residence (PAiR) Program was established by Perivale Community Hive (PCH), a community-managed library and hub in a leafy part of North West London, in Ealing right beside the Grand Union Canal, Horsenden Hill Nature Reserve and Farm, Perivale Wood and river Brent.
We are a small programme, self-run with help of volunteers and the local community. The programme is focused on the broadly understood intersection of working with local communities in a peri-urban setting, ecology and bridging the intergenerational gap.
We are looking for all artists and designers of all mediums and expressions who work with themes of ecology and community.
This is a series of four residencies each lasting three months in which artists obtain access to the library’s space and get introduced to the local area by the community members.
Deadline, Friday 13th January 2023 23:59 UK time.
Successful applicants will be contacted by 20 February 2023 to discuss the details of the project.
Artists will conclude this residency with documentation and final work in a format of their choice and research.
Artists’ time is remunerated according to Artists Union England guidance (See more https://lnkd.in/eajM5jWR) and is capped at £1,000. Applicants should take this into consideration when submitting a project and when thinking about the timeline of the project delivery.
We are really looking forward to hosting another great project in Perivale.
NOTE: We do not offer accommodation (yet) and therefore encourage applications from underrepresented artists and designers local to Perivale, London Borough of Ealing, or the vicinity.
