We're looking for artists, performers and workshop hosts to help us make our Pride Party as loud and as proud as possible!

Whether you're an LGBTQIA+ artist or an ally, we want to see what Pride means to you.

Whatever you have to offer, we want to hear from you. We want this to be our biggest exhibition yet! 🥳

The Zoo Middlesbrough CIC is an emerging community interest company located in Hill Street Shopping Centre, Middlesbrough. Founded by Chloe Stevenson and Charmaine Twidale—two award-winning Fine Art students at Teesside University—

The Zoo is a safe, inclusive, creative space supporting emerging artists and serving the diverse communities of Teesside.

Our mission is to provide accessible opportunities for creative expression, cultural exchange, and community engagement through exhibitions, workshops, and events.

Since opening in April 2025, our debut exhibition showcased the work of over 20 artists and welcomed more than 100 visitors, reflecting strong local interest and the potential for long-term impact.

We provide artist with a new and popular space to display their work, photography of the work throughout the exhibition period and promotional opportunities.

We market the exhibition and the work on our Instagram and with physical posters placed in the busiest parts of Middlesbrough town centre. 

Artists are able to sell their work through us. As a gallery, we take a 25% commission, so please take this into consideration when pricing your work.

Key Dates:

10th July- Open call ends and successful applicants will be notified

17th July- All work must be at the gallery

24th July- Opening night, 4pm-9pm. This will be a great networking opportunity and allow you to mingle with other artists and buyers.

24th July- 14th August- Exhibition run time. The gallery is open Monday-Friday 12-5.30pm.

28th August- All work must be collected from the  gallery
